...Thursday Farrar as Vera and Felipe Gorostiza as Pablo are more than believable as a couple approaching their 25th wedding anniversary as the wheels come off the marriage. She drinks, and her mother suffers dementia. Pablo is taken with a young student of his named Marie (Kaitlin Large) from Georgia. Their daughter Pauline (Analisa veleZ – and that’s no typo, that’s the way she capitalizes her name) has run away to New York and she’s pregnant. Her boyfriend Michael (Bobby Crace) has taken a vow of silence until the Vietnam War ends, so he writes what he has to say on a notepad. Crace works this gimmick for all that it’s worth and creates more mirth than one expects in a play about race, war, sexism, and a failing marriage.
